A goal by Serbian winger Zoran Tosic saw Manchester United retain the Manchester Senior Cup with a 1-0 win over Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. The Red Devils, who included the likes of Danny Welbeck and Federico Macheda in their reserves side, dominated the first half and the breakthrough came when Tosic's free-kick was deflected in. Winger Lee Martin, who has had loan spells with Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest, was then unfortunate to have a clever chip disallowed after he was judged to have been offside. Welbeck was the dominant force as United were clearly the better side but Wanderers came back into the game with the Red Devils grateful to Ben Amos in goal who ensured they secured the trophy.
